Job summary

Pentair is seeking an Operations Finance Analyst for Mexicali, MX to join a team that translates production and inventory activity into clear financial insights. You will support monthly close, variance analysis, and performance reporting to help plant leadership manage costs and drive value.

You report to the West Coast Manufacturing Finance Manager and will work with operations, supply chain, and IT to ensure accurate data, budgeting, and forecasting aligned with production plans and volume

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance experience within manufacturing or operations finance preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with strong analytical skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reporting processes.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities; ability to build clear analyses and presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate financial insights clearly.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting or consolidation tools.
• Familiarity with IMMEX Annex 24/30 or Mexico customs inventory controls.
• Proficiency with BI analytics tools (Power BI) and lean manufacturing exposure.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close activities including variance analysis, accruals, and performance reporting.
• Prepare and analyze cost, productivity, and margin metrics; explain drivers and impacts.
• Partner with operations and supply chain to track labor, material usage, scrap, and overhead.
• Assist plant forecasting and budgeting activities, including AOP and rolling forecasts.
• Develop standard and ad hoc reports for plant leadership reviews.
• Analyze inventory performance: turns, E&O, absorption, and Annex 24 reconciliations.
• Support capital spending tracking, project analysis, and post-investment reviews.
• Maintain SAP reporting data accuracy and validate inventory and asset records.
