Job Responsibilities

Performs a variety of technical duties including experimental procedures, data collection from manufacturing processes, data analysis, and graphical analysis. May involve measurement labs or customer data to assist engineers in resolving customer complaints or improving manufacturing yields. May lead and direct P&M trades and/or contract trades personnel in equipment installation, repairs, or upgrades.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Training and coaching new engineering personnel on equipment and processes.
2. Understanding equipment used in key processes and interpreting data to solve problems.
3. Collaborating with teams focused on product innovation and cost reduction projects.
4. Troubleshooting process and equipment issues.
5. Working with engineers to develop and implement testing and integration of equipment.
6. Participating in equipment projects aimed at reducing costs, downtime, defects, and increasing yields.
7. Guiding front-line production and technical teams to ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance.
8. Contributing to project plans with resource and timeline estimates.
9. Participating in the development of new processes or machines to improve current operations.
10. Writing process, product, or equipment documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a technical field or strong Math/Science background and experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Experience in technician and operator roles to enhance understanding of equipment and processes.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field.
• Project management skills.
• Knowledge of Lean fundamentals.
• Certification such as Yellow Belt or Green Belt.
• Experience with PEx tools.
• Leadership experience in relevant roles.
