About The Role
- Create assortment strategy for different product category, class or subclass(es) and consumer by understanding the competitive landscape, consumer trends, and distilling insights from the brand based on analysis of both our internal metrics, competitive landscape, consumer insights and macro trends. Deliver assortments that support key brand and cluster strategies while achieving financial targets.
- Manage relationships with internal and external commercial partners to assort the best products for Levi’s.
- Partner with planner and allocator on weekly business reviews, open-to-buy management, and plan revisions to achieve financial goals and strategic goals & support.
- Analyze weekly and monthly product performance, partnering with Planning & Allocation and Merchant Managers to identify risks and opportunities; determine and guide short-, medium-, and long-term actions to increase opportunities and minimize risks.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to our teams and senior leaders in the organization.
- To present the collection of products in sales conventions of each channel directly assisting the commercial team franchises channel and training the wholesale channel representatives team.
- Participate and present in business review meetings.
- Use marketplace insights, competitive analysis, and sell out trends to guide data informed decisions.
- Oversee product data integrity in merchant systems.
- Drive operational and process improvements between all partners to increase efficiency.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
- 2 years direct merchandising/buying experience working at an apparel manufacturer, retailer, or marketer.
- Knowledge of merchandising and design trends; ability to apply that knowledge, connect the dots and create product assortments that win in the marketplace.
- Understand financial measurements including sales, gross margin, inventory turn, ST%, weeks of supply, their impact on the business and how to impact them.
- Knowledge of the customer and categories under management with a passion for both product and consumers.
- English required.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel (can perform complex functions).
