Process Engineer
What You’ll Do
- Improve and develop the LW Process following the 1 Product 1 Process (1P1P) strategy.
- Create process documentation (SWI, Process parameter control, Setup, PFMEA).
- Support site activities for Autonomous Manufacturing Group.
- Follow up on Policy Deployment actions.
- Monitor process improvement and Autonomous Manufacturing Center metrics.
- Analyze variables and adjust processes accordingly.
- Apply PLC knowledge and automation experience with robots.
- Help develop new projects, ensure proper launch processes, and reduce cycle time.
- Increase PPH, ensure product quality, eliminate muda, optimize robot movements, reduce scrap, and lower raw material costs.
- Develop process parameters for new programs and debug new part numbers.
- Design, execute, test, and monitor process quality results.
- Develop best practices for process improvement.
- Update PFMEA and implement process improvements to reduce scrap.
- Conduct DOE and manage reception of new products, documentation, and equipment.
- Create ECNs in Manit and standardize engineering changes.
- Establish processing requirements for designing and acquiring equipment (Manufacturing Process Specification).
- Develop new product launch programs, SWI, and setup procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production process/equipment issues.
- Design and plan layout for materials and specify procedures for processing.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and interpret drawings (2D, SolidWorks).
- Utilize troubleshooting tools, conduct time studies, line balancing, and ergonomics assessments.
- Collaborate effectively with QC, Finance, Engineering, and other departments.
- Conduct process tests and measurements to control variables.
- Possess basic knowledge of Mechatronics.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership.
- Ensure corrective measures meet reliability standards and documentation compliance.
What Is Required
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- JDE Oracle knowledge.
- Experience with quality criteria for steering wheels.
- Excellent computer skills; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SolidWorks.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and cross-cultural skills.
- Problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
