Process Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Improve and develop the LW Process following the 1 Product 1 Process (1P1P) strategy.
• Create process documentation (SWI, Process parameter control, Setup, PFMEA).
• Support site activities for Autonomous Manufacturing Group.
• Follow-up on Policy Deployment actions.
• Analyze variables, adjust processes, and support process improvements & metrics in the Autonomous Manufacturing Center.
• Utilize PLC knowledge and automation experience, including robotics, to reduce cycle time, increase PPH, and ensure product quality.
• Eliminate muda, optimize robot movements, reduce scrap through data analysis, implement SMED, and reduce raw material costs in injection processes.
• Develop best practices for the global team, create process parameters for new programs, and debug new part numbers.
• Design, execute, test, and monitor process results for quality.
• Update PFMEA and implement process improvements to reduce scrap.
• Conduct DOE, receive new products, create ECN in Manit, and standardize engineering changes.
• Establish processing requirements for equipment design and acquisition.
• Develop new product launch programs, create SWI and setup procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production process/equipment issues.
• Design and plan layout for materials, sequence operations, and specify procedures.
• Interpret drawings (2D, SolidWorks), and utilize troubleshooting tools.
• Perform time studies, line balancing, and ergonomics assessments.
• Coordinate with departments such as QC, Finance, Engineering, and Security.
• Conduct tests and measurements to control variables throughout production.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership, ensure documentation compliance.

What Is Required

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Knowledge of JDE Oracle, SolidWorks, and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience in quality criteria for steering wheels preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, detail-oriented, adaptable to travel.
