Process Engineer
What you’ll do:
- Improve and develop the LW Process.
- Follow the 1 Product 1 Process (1P1P) strategy.
- Create process documentation (SWI, process parameter control, setup, PFMEA).
- Support site activities for the Autonomous Manufacturing Group.
- Provide proper follow-up on Policy Deployment actions.
- Monitor process improvement & Autonomous Manufacturing Center metrics.
- Analyze variables & adjust processes accordingly.
- Possess PLC knowledge and experience in automation with robots.
- Help develop new projects, ensure correct launch processes, and leverage automation to reduce cycle time, increase PPH, and ensure product quality.
- Improve PPH through muda elimination and robot movement optimization.
- Reduce scrap via data analysis, SMED, and process improvements to lower raw material costs in the injection process area.
- Implement best practices for the global team, develop process parameters for new programs, and debug new part numbers.
- Design, execute, test, and monitor process quality results.
- Develop best practices for process improvement.
- Update PFMEA documentation.
- Implement process improvements to reduce scrap.
- Conduct DOE and manage reception of new products (documentation, equipment).
- Create ECNs in Manit and standardize engineering changes.
- Establish processing requirements for designing and acquiring processing equipment (Manufacturing Process Specification).
- Develop new launch product programs, including SWI and setup creation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production process/equipment issues.
- Design and plan layout for materials and sequence operations, specifying procedures for process materials.
- Ensure compliance with all customer-specific requirements and interpret drawings (2D, SolidWorks).
- Utilize troubleshooting tools and conduct time studies, line balancing, and ergonomics assessments.
- Coordinate effectively with departments such as QC, Finance, Engineering, New Launches, and Security.
- Apply knowledge of LW Process and conduct tests and measurements during production.
- Possess basic knowledge of Mechatronics.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership.
- Ensure corrective measures meet reliability standards and documentation compliance.
What is required:
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- JDE Oracle knowledge.
- Experience with quality criteria for steering wheels.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SolidWorks.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and cross-cultural skills.
- Problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong time management and ability to work independently aligned with a global strategy.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules and travel as required.
