Process Engineer

What You’ll Do

1. Improve and develop the LW Process, following the 1 Product 1 Process (1P1P) strategy.
2. Create process documentation (SWI, Process parameter control, Setup, PFMEA).
3. Support site activities for Autonomous Manufacturing Group.
4. Follow up on Policy Deployment actions.
5. Monitor process improvement & Autonomous Manufacturing Center metrics.
6. Analyze variables and adjust processes accordingly.
7. Apply PLC knowledge and automation experience with robots.
8. Help develop new projects, ensure correct launch processes, reduce cycle times, increase PPH, and maintain product quality through data analysis, muda elimination, robot movement optimization, scrap reduction, and raw material cost reduction.
9. Design, execute, test, and monitor process quality results.
10. Develop best practices for process improvement and update PFMEA.
11. Implement process improvements to reduce scrap.
12. Conduct DOE and manage new product reception (documentation, equipment).
13. Create ECN in Manit and standardize engineering changes.
14. Establish processing requirements for equipment design (Manufacturing Process Specification).
15. Develop new launch product programs, including SWI and setup creation.
16. Troubleshoot and solve production process/equipment issues.
17. Design and plan material layouts and sequence operations, specifying procedures.
18. Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and interpret drawings (2D, SolidWorks).
19. Utilize troubleshooting tools, basic mechatronics knowledge, and conduct time studies, line balancing, and ergonomics assessments.
20. Collaborate effectively with QC, Finance, Engineering, New Launches, and Security departments.
21. Conduct tests and measurements to control variables and provide feedback to leadership.
22. Ensure corrective actions meet reliability standards and documentation compliance.

What Is Required

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Knowledge of JDE Oracle and quality criteria for steering wheels.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SolidWorks.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and cross-cultural skills.
• Problem-solving, judgment, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, share knowledge, and work independently and in teams.
• Detail-oriented with willingness to travel as required.
