Emerson seeks a Sourcing Engineer (Mechanical) to influence materials sourcing and new product development. You will collaborate globally with commodity teams, developmental engineers, suppliers and Emerson professionals to drive value and improve processes.

This role emphasizes working with multiple manufacturing processes, effective negotiation, and turning concepts into market-ready solutions. Local Monterrey experience is preferred and English proficiency is required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or related field with 3–5 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of quality processes (PPAP, SPC, DFM, FMEA).
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Strong project management and MS Office skills.

Responsabilidades

• Drive NPD projects: build RFQs, select suppliers, costed BOM ownership, PPAP, risk mitigation.
• Manage sourcing projects with global supply base: cost modeling, make/buy analysis, capital expenditure.
• Communicate supply chain status and risks to project stakeholders.
• Lead supplier decision reviews with executive leadership.
• Partner with suppliers to optimize design for manufacturability (DFM) and ensure quality and environmental standards.
• Support sourcing engineering counterpart in component sourcing, substitutions, and align supply chains for mechanical and electronic subassemblies.
