Dematic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its Guadalupe facility to optimize processes and support production readiness for new and existing products. The role emphasizes hands-on process improvement, PFMEA documentation, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience, knowledge of Lean methodologies, and problem-solving skills, with English communication ability.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering or related roles.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and production environments.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, process documentation and development.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering docs.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop, improve, and implement manufacturing processes to support production goals.
  • Create and maintain Process Flows, PFMEAs, Visual Aids, and Work Instructions.
  • Design fixtures, tooling, and poka-yoke solutions to improve quality and safety.
  • Analyze line capacity, cycle times, and workflows to identify improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methods.
  • Support production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis activities.
  • Participate in equipment installation, validation, and readiness activities.
  • Maintain and update routings and data in ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
  • Support layout changes and manufacturing changes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Descripción del empleo

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Guadalupe manufacturing facility. This role will play a key part in supporting production operations, optimizing manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring manufacturing readiness for new and existing products.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on engineer with experience in manufacturing environments, process improvement, equipment support, and problem solving, who enjoys collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, improve, and implement manufacturing processes to support production goals.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including Process Flows, PFMEAs, Visual Aids, and Work Instructions.
  • Design and implement fixtures, tooling, and poka‑yoke solutions to improve quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze line capacity, cycle times, and manufacturing workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Support production troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities.
  • Participate in equipment installation, validation, and manufacturing readiness activities.

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or related roles.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and production environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with PFMEA, process documentation, and manufacturing process development.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
Preferred
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley).
  • Experience with automated equipment, conveyors, robotics, AGVs, ASRS, or material handling systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
  • Experience with commissioning, equipment validation, and production startups.
  • AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software experience.
