We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Guadalupe manufacturing facility. This role will play a key part in supporting production operations, optimizing manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring manufacturing readiness for new and existing products.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on engineer with experience in manufacturing environments, process improvement, equipment support, and problem solving, who enjoys collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and implement manufacturing processes to support production goals.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including Process Flows, PFMEAs, Visual Aids, and Work Instructions.
- Design and implement fixtures, tooling, and poka‑yoke solutions to improve quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze line capacity, cycle times, and manufacturing workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Support production troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities.
- Participate in equipment installation, validation, and manufacturing readiness activities.
- Maintain and update manufacturing routings and process‑related data within ERP systems.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to drive operational excellence.
- Support layout modifications and manufacturing changes based on operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering or related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or related roles.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations and production environments.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with PFMEA, process documentation, and manufacturing process development.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced English communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley).
- Experience with automated equipment, conveyors, robotics, AGVs, ASRS, or material handling systems.
- Knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
- Experience with commissioning, equipment validation, and production startups.
- AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software experience.
