Position: Mechanical Engineer Technician (Maintenance Coordinator)
Pay Range:
- $800 - $1000 Mexican pesos/day
Shift Timings:
- Monday: 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Tuesday – Friday: 7:30 am to 5:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, monitor, and report on maintenance operations for production and manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, repair, replace and test industrial machinery, mechanical equipment and components, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, lubrications, cooling, and exhaust systems, pumps, fans, tanks, conveyers, presses, generators and pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
- Assign maintenance activities and determine schedules based on equipment availability and priority.
- Compile, analyze, and report on inventory, repair, and maintenance statistics.
- Monitor inventories to ensure availability of relevant parts and materials; source and purchase necessary parts, tools, services, and equipment.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized service and maintenance, scheduling repairs and maintenance for production/manufacturing equipment.
- Record all work performed, equipment malfunctions, and defects, providing detailed reports to the Operations Manager.
- Operate a counterbalance forklift in accordance with operational policies and procedures.
- Assist in continuous improvement by developing, maintaining, and implementing operational plans, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with departments such as Operations, QES, HR, Accounting, Finance, and Payroll to achieve operational goals and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Must exhibit Triple M Metal LP’s Core Values: Respect, Excellence, Integrity, Team, and Pride.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with expertise in Hydraulic/Pneumatic mechanics.
- Valid mechanical engineering certificate
- Working knowledge of Recycling heavy equipment - Terex Fuchs cranes, Caterpillar skid steer, Heli forklifts, Harris baler, Sierra Non-ferrous baler– All a plus!
- Excellent knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, repair, and replace industrial machinery, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, lubrication, cooling, and exhaust systems.
- Possess a proven ability to demonstrate professional communication skills (verbal/written) with a positive attitude.
- Excellent planning, research, organization, attention to detail and delegation abilities.
