The role involves researching and analyzing proposals, conducting product testing, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, extensive design experience, and strong problem-solving skills.

Formación

YOUR ROLE

The primary responsibilities of a Mechanical Engineer includes: researching, planning, and designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems for robotic unmanned vehicles. Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes. Mechanical Engineers are also responsible for directing and coordinating activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Reports to a manager/supervisor. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

  • Researching and analyzing data including customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Designing products or systems for robotic control using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic principles and components.
  • Participating in fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Coordinating operation, maintenance, and repair activities that optimize utilization of machines and equipment.
  • Designing products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
  • Evaluating field installations and recommending design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Good conversationalEnglish skills (B2, C1, C2)
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 4+ years Mechanical Engineering related experience.
  • 4+ years of machine & product design experience using Solid Works, Pro-E, or Catia.
  • Proficient design skills in CAD/Solidworks software.
  • Must have experience inFinite Element Analysis.
  • Experience using hand calculations of stresses.
  • Must have experience with GD&T
  • Proficient in using math software like Matlab or Mathcad.
  • Familiar with failure modes and effects analysis.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of software development.
  • Familiar with Systems; Heavy Equipment; Hydraulics; Gearing and Motor
