Kiewit Mexico is seeking a senior Mechanical/Chemical Engineer to join our engineering team in Querétaro. You will perform intermediate design tasks, develop P&IDs for power plant systems, and produce PFDs and equipment lists, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, strong thermodynamics and power systems knowledge, and advanced English. You will collaborate with drafters and engineers to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years in mechanical engineering and design.
• Advanced English (C1) required.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics and power systems.

Responsabilidades

• Perform intermediate complexity engineering designs including analysis, calculations, research, and equipment selection.
• Develop mechanical piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) for power plant systems including steam cycles, boiler feed, condensate, water treatment, flue gas, hydrogen, fuel handling, heat transfer systems, and utility systems
• Prepare sizing calculations and specifications for major equipment including boilers, condensers, cooling towers, tanks, blowers and pumps
• Prepare mechanical engineering designs, equipment lists, general arrangements, aux power demands, and PFDs
• Check design deliverables in accordance with codes and standards
• Assist in development of schedules, work assignments, and staffing requirements
• Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, codes and standards
• Coordinate with other drafters, designers, and engineers and review work progress
