Job summary

Kiewit Mexico is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and lay out HVAC and related mechanical systems for diverse projects. You will review 3D models, assist with procurement, and perform system sizing and equipment selection to ensure successful project delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 7+ years in the field, and advanced English proficiency. Opportunity for site visits, collaboration with construction teams, and involvement in

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
7+ years of experience in a relevant field.
Experience in Building design and HVAC system design.
Experience with HVAC systems including chilled water, hydronic heating, steam, and gas piping.
Experience using building modeling software such as Trane Trace 700 or Carrier HAP.
Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, NCR and DOE regulations.
Advanced English is a must.

Responsibilities

Design and layout of mechanical systems/equipment for buildings, including HVAC, ductwork, and piping.
Review/approve 3D models and support procurement with bid packages.
Perform system sizing calculations and equipment selection.
Support construction teams by responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings.
Create construction documents, drawings, and specifications for HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
Participate in site visits to review installations and develop punch lists.
