JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, the engineer will be responsible for the successful validation and implementation of new and existing parts used on Polaris off-road vehicles. This includes work within all vehicle systems and involves designing and analyzing components and assemblies to achieve superior performance, safety, and quality—covering chassis, suspension, cooling systems, and bodywork. The engineer will work closely with project, sourcing, validation, and manufacturing teams to ensure all aspects of development and implementation are executed effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and analyze components and assemblies to support the development and refinement of off-road vehicles.
  • Collaborate with Vehicle Architects and Subject Matter Experts to ensure new components and assemblies meet all customer and business requirements.
  • Coordinate with resources across multiple engineering sites, including onshore and offshore teams, to achieve efficient design finalization.
  • Participate in testing and benchmarking activities.
  • Initiate and maintain schedules, DFMEAs, and DVP&Rs.
  • Engage in key project milestones such as team meetings, design reviews, gate reviews, and safety reviews.
  • Work with the quality team on root cause analysis and gather, analyze, track, and report warranty and consumer quality data related to structural components.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of design experience, preferably in off-road, construction, or industrial equipment.
  • This is a bilingual role; fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles for development and testing is preferred.
  • Experience with FEA software such as Ansys is preferred.
  • Knowledge of bolted joint analysis, GD&T, FMEA, dimensional tolerance stack-ups, and engineering standards is preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Fast-paced office environment.
  • Based in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
  • Flexible hours required for global team meetings.
  • Domestic and international travel may be necessary.
