Alstom in Mexico is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical components and systems for rail transportation projects. You will work with manufacturing, quality and project management teams to ensure compliance with technical requirements.

The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering, CAD proficiency (CATIA, SolidWorks or AutoCAD), and strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience or understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
• Knowledge of CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials selection.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Designing and developing mechanical components and systems in alignment with project specifications.
• Conducting feasibility studies and technical analyses to support design decisions.
• Preparing detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software.
• Ensuring designs meet safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Collaborating with electrical and software engineers to achieve system integration.
• Reviewing and validating supplier designs to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Supporting manufacturing teams during the production phase with technical expertise.
• Troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues during prototyping and testing.
• Documenting design processes, calculations, and modifications for future reference.
• Staying updated on industry trends and innovations to continuously enhance designs.
