Honeywell in Mexico is seeking a Mech Design Engineer II (Product design) to develop, validate, and implement mechanical design solutions for cost, manufacturability, quality, and performance across the product lifecycle.

The role supports VE/CE initiatives, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and requires strong CAD, FEA/CAE, and product development experience with a proven track record of launching products into production.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical product design experience.
• Proven track record of launching products into production.
• Experience with CAD modeling and creating engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T and DFM practices.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept through production release.
• Design and develop components and assemblies using 3D CAD tools, preferably PTC Creo.
• Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
• Perform tolerance analysis, fit/function evaluations, and DFM assessments.
• Conduct FEA and CAE simulations to evaluate structural integrity, thermal performance, and reliability.
• Develop innovative solutions to improve cost, quality, manufacturability, and performance.
• Execute Value Engineering and Cost Reduction projects, identifying optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Product Management, and R&D teams to implement design changes.
• Support product qualification activities including prototype development, testing, validation, and production implementation.
• Interface with suppliers during design reviews, tooling development, process optimization, and manufacturing transfers.
• Manage engineering changes, documentation releases, and product data within PLM/PDM systems.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for field or manufacturing issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and design best practices.
