Olinca International School in Mexico City seeks a Math’s, Physics & Statistics Teacher for its Pedregal campus. Olinca International School is currently looking for a Math’s, Physics & Statistics Teacher to join our community at Pedregal campus in Mexico City.
This position requires strong classroom management, collaboration, adaptability, and organizational skills to develop the academic and personal growth of upper elementary and high school students. The teacher will facilitate meaningful learning experiences in a bilingual environment aligned with innovative educational methodologies in Olinca.
Key Responsibilities:
·Academic Planning and Design: Develop detailed semester instructional plans aligned with UNAM-CCH and Olinca curricula. Plans should include differentiated learning activities, integration of technology, and strategies that support the diverse learning needs of students.
·Subject Delivery in English: Deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics entirely in English. Lessons must promote conceptual understanding, inquiry-based learning, and critical thinking.
·Ongoing Assessment: Design, implement, and grade partial, periodical, and semester exams in accordance with institutional and CCH guidelines. Provide constructive feedback and timely, submit corrected exams and results.
·Academic and Vocational Guidance: Actively accompany students in their academic path and decision-making process regarding university admissions and subject selection. Foster international mindedness in class discussions and ensure clear documentation of support activities and career information sessions.
·Extracurricular Involvement: Contribute to the coordination and supervision of educational outings, academic exchanges, cultural events, and school-wide initiatives (such as Olinca Day, Open Day, Model UN, and others.
·Safeguarding Compliance: Ensure adherence to safeguarding protocols and the institution’s code of conduct. Teachers always maintain a safe and respectful environment, and report on concerns in line with a safeguarding policy.
·Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in academic coordination meetings, collaborative planning, and interdisciplinary initiatives. Teachers should contribute to collective pedagogical strategies.
Qualifications:
·Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a valid degree and professional license (according to SEP and UNAM profiles).
·Teaching Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience at the basic or upper secondary level, preferably in bilingual or international settings.
·English Proficiency: Proven C1 level of English, with the ability to teach all subjects in English and use precise academic terminology.
·Plus, experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) model or equivalent competencies is desirable, as well as proficiency with tools such as TI-NSPIRE, Google platforms, Microsoft 365, iPad, and Optimus.
