Job summary

Siemens Energy in Bucharest seeks an experienced Material Resource Planning Controller to manage material demand and ensure reliable delivery across the supply chain. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, using data to support decisions and optimize stock levels.

The role combines operational planning with data analysis, using Excel, Power BI, and SAP to improve visibility, performance, and planning decisions. Travel to UK/EU may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, or Logistics with planning and control exposure.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and supplier management.
• SAP experience (SAP MM and/or SAP PP preferred).
• Excellent data analysis skills and confidence working with data daily.
• Proficiency with Excel, VBA, Power BI, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and control material demand in SAP, ensuring accurate demand cascade and reliable delivery commitments.
• Maintain supplier delivery schedules, monitor adherence, and address risks using data and system insights.
• Manage demand changes by assessing impact and supporting recovery plans.
• Interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders, using data to support discussions and decisions.
• Maintain master and transactional data in ERP systems for consistency between planning and execution.
• Plan and optimize stock levels, balancing availability, cost, and constraints.
• Monitor supply chain KPIs (on-time delivery, shortages, backlog, inventory) with Excel/Power BI.
• Identify trends and improvement opportunities in supplier performance and processes.
• Support root-cause analysis by combining system data with operations knowledge.
• Contribute to reports and dashboards to improve visibility and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement by leveraging data for better planning.
