The Materials Data & System Analyst is an expert in system processes and programs within one or more functional areas, focusing on materials management to enhance current business systems and processes. The role ensures that the plant's SLA objectives are visible and understandable across the organization by integrating the company's existing systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze processes and methods used in existing systems.
2. Propose modifications or new systems to meet user needs.
3. Create tests and develop specifications for developers and programmers.
4. Manage and optimize global costs through co-negotiation with suppliers (with global purchasing).
5. Collect and compile data from sources like SAP and Oracle.
6. Analyze large datasets using statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
7. Brainstorm new functionalities to enhance systems.
8. Develop visualizations, charts, and graphs to present data findings clearly.
9. Conduct data cleansing and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
10. Generate routine and ad-hoc reports on KPIs and metrics.

Improvement Strategy:

1. Monitor and evaluate forecast accuracy; recommend adjustments for demand planning.
2. Integrate customer orders and delivery dates into the backlog.
3. Identify and track the effectiveness of process improvement initiatives.
4. Test systems regularly to ensure quality and functionality.
5. Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems.
6. Support users with change control and system updates.
7. Provide training and user manuals for new systems.
8. Carry out risk analysis and develop mitigation plans for IT systems.
