Formación

Material Productivity Leader - Virtual Factory (1 year position) - 009GK5

The Material Productivity Leader provides strategic direction to develop, lead, and execute initiatives around direct material cost-out projects for a plant or factory. Responsible for supporting operational relations with external manufacturer suppliers based on strategies defined by the commodity management and procurement departments. This includes project execution, RFQ processes, negotiations on price, quantity, quality, and logistics, and tracking supplier performance.

The responsibilities of the Material Productivity Leader include:

  • Managing a project portfolio of cost reduction initiatives for direct material in the assigned plant or virtual factory, including opportunity creation, project execution, and implementation.
  • Communicating with project leaders, supporting supply chain deployment, ensuring supplier and plant readiness, managing inventory, and overseeing mass production.
  • Developing and executing cost reduction projects in a cross-functional environment aligned with North America region strategy, including supplier changes, quality and value engineering, supply base optimization, and risk mitigation.
  • Building a pipeline of productivity projects through new ideas and leading procurement in project management and agile practices.
  • Ensuring deployment of purchasing strategies for cost reduction, proposing new ideas, and supporting supplier selection and contract negotiations.
  • Supporting activities related to the supply qualification system as per the responsibility matrix.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Establishing relationships with key stakeholders and leading executive presentations on results and plant productivity financials.
  • Ensuring project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and KPIs are met.
  • Leading productivity workshops and developing business cases for new ideas.
  • Performing risk management and tracking action plans.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
  • Proficient in English and Spanish (written and oral)
  • Over 5 years of experience in Project Management and developing material cost reduction opportunities
  • Experience in Contract Manufacturing (Virtual Factory) environments
  • Background in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain
  • Proactive, results-oriented, with strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally (valid passport and USA visa)
  • PMP certification or knowledge
  • Strong project management and budget management skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP and database management is a plus
