Acuity is looking for a Materials Planner based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, who will analyze supply plans to ensure materials requisitioned through Oracle meet production demands. Responsibilities include optimizing inventory and tracking material flows.

Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, advanced English skills, and over 3 years of procurement or supply chain experience. This position demands strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills.

Work Location

This position requires on-site presence in GPF, Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and must report to the office every business day.

Job Summary

As a Materials Planner, your role involves analyzing the supply plan and comparing it to actual orders to determine the materials that need to be requisitioned through Oracle. You will be responsible for interpreting the supply plan to accurately forecast material requirements, ensuring that production and customer needs are met. Additionally, you will play a key part in optimizing inventory levels, maintaining the right balance between supply and demand to minimize excess or shortage of materials. Your proficiency with Oracle will be critical in effectively managing the requisition process and maintaining accurate inventory records. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our material procurement and inventory management processes.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Submit material requisitions based on supply plan information.
• Maintain the Kanban loops updated using the standard deviation Kanban formula.
• Maintain the MRP/KB items within the SS required.
• Interpret the supply plan material requests and analyze data related to material usage and inventory levels.
• Create ISO/ internal orders and monitor delivery.
• Plan category (MRP/KB/DSY) and inter‑division sourcing rules. Maintain inter‑division parameters.
• Make decisions on pull in / push out requisitions based on supply plan.
• Track material receiving hold (quarantine) ISO.
• Phase in, phase down/out - engineering changes.
• Product introductions, product transfers, ECOs.
• Black dot on inventory reduction initiatives.
• Installed rack capacity administration.
• Maintain inventory levels within a healthy range.

Skills And Minimum Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Advanced English language skills.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in the following areas:
  • Procurement / Planning knowledge.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge.
  • Kanban / MRP knowledge.
  • Supply chain (logistics / import / export) knowledge.
  • Executing abilities.
  • Communication skills.
  • Optimizing inventory with service.
  • Data maintenance knowledge.
