Job description:
Develop block-level layouts of advanced node custom Mixed-Signal analog IP designs for smartphones and other wireless consumer electronic devices.
Create, verify, and revise IP designs utilizing effective analog layout principles, such as device matching, minimization of parasitics, isolation techniques, and latchup prevention.
Proficiency in the use of Cadence VXL and Calibre verification tools is required.
Maintain layout database utilizing Design Management software.
Engage with the engineering design team to understand design concepts, constraints, and milestones. Concisely and accurately report design status to the layout and engineering team; track schedules.
Proactively and independently solve design and PDK issues; clearly communicate solutions to the layout and engineering team.
Collaborate with Mask Layout Designers across multiple GEOs, such as San Diego, Raleigh (U.S.), Cork (Ireland), and Bangalore (India).
Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork; work efficiently as part of an international team.
Continuously strive to broaden skillset to serve our design community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or certificate in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of computer and electrical engineering, such as IT/tech support experience and/or CAD tool experience in electrical, mechanical, or architectural fields.
Electrical engineering experience such as board-level design, test/lab engineering support, PCB layout, and/or design experience.
Knowledge of advanced node fabrication is a plus.
