Market Business, Alliances Lead

Description -

Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge, including technologies, theories, and techniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Operates successfully in complex disciplines critical to the company's success. Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division teams or projects impacting the organization's long-term goals. May participate in multi-function teams. Offers mentorship and guidance to lower-level employees. Exercises independent judgment in developing methods and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policies. Acts as a functional manager within the area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary role.

Job Scope

The MBA is a strategic member of the category team, contributing to profitable business growth through:

  • Pricing support via negotiation with alliance partners and contributing to Market P&L through STF/Augm $ rebates.
  • Optimizing Demand Generation Funds to support market opportunities and address challenges, managing relationships with 6 alliance partners and 13 programs across CPS/BPS/Wkst, aligned with category, sales, and marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and drive complex, integrated solution offerings based on internal products/services and external partner offerings.
  • Build an optimal partner solution portfolio through ongoing assessment of the partner landscape, strategy, and marketability, facilitating partner integration into HP's portfolio.
  • Identify and prioritize key ecosystem partners to align technically and commercially with HP offerings.
  • Recommend strategic partners for focus to maximize revenue and margins.
  • Establish networks internally and externally to promote and expand partner programs.
  • Strategize partner networks and integrate partners into HP initiatives to influence market and platform direction.

Education and Experience Required:

  • BA or BS in Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience.
  • Experience in partner, sales, industry, or channel roles or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Mastery of marketing principles, practices, and tools; developing value propositions with partners.
  • Deep knowledge of marketing mix and program execution vehicles with strategic partners.
  • Experience with product/service/solution offerings within industry segments.
  • Effective communication with executive management across functions.
  • Excellent written, oral, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for managing virtual teams.
  • Negotiation, influence, consensus-building, and conflict resolution skills.
