Job Description

Summary:
Coordinate the engineering functions that carry out product analysis for customer satisfaction, maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing production costs.

Essential Obligations And Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for installation, responsible for manufacturing methods and compliance with specifications.
• Ensure manufacturing processes and methods meet quality, cost, delivery, and lead-time requirements.
• Act as the lead technical expert in presenting and discussing products and solutions with the business unit and/or customers.
• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, anticipating and responding to emerging business needs.
• Implement and maintain process standardization across the facility.
• Standardize equipment and coating materials used in thermal spray operations.
• Lead and oversee cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Lead and develop the engineering department, fostering a culture of empowerment.
• Recommend changes to working conditions and equipment to enhance efficiency; collaborate with Continuous Improvement teams to implement these changes.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate, analyze, and report on manufacturing systems, proposing corrective actions to support operational needs.
• Create and communicate internal documents such as FMEA, control plans, process flow diagrams, R&R measures, etc.

Skills

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years management experience in high-volume maquiladora industry; experience in the medical industry is desirable.
• Advanced English proficiency for presentations and negotiations.
• Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols, ISO-13485, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DFMEA, Kaizen, VSM, BOMs, Routings.
• Valuable knowledge in RF Technology and Sewing Manufacturing strategies.
