General Motors de Mexico in Toluca seeks a temporary, on-site engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 1 year of experience. Strong PFMEA and Control Plan knowledge, plus familiarity with manufacturing processes and English at an intermediate level, are required.

The role involves SORs, project management, process design, and coordinating with vendors to ensure high-quality part production. The position requires 5x2 rotating shifts with 10-hour days and is 100% on-site.

Job Description Temporary position with a duration of one year. This is a 100% on-site position requiring availability to work rotating shifts under a 5x2 schedule with 10-hour shifts, according to operational needs.

Responsible for supporting activities that may include:

• SORs and project management for tools, stations or specific technologies.
• Typically part of a larger effort or project
• Manufacturing process definition
• Sequence of operations
• Human factors consideration
• Efficient material flow
• Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts
• Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources
• Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology.

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering field or related experience. Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role. English proficiency: Intermediate conversational level, with the ability to clearly express complete technical ideas. Knowledge of PFMEA and Control Plan. Basic knowledge of GMS. Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Work Schedule: 100% on-site position. Candidates must be available to work rotating shifts under a 5x2 schedule with 10-hour shifts based on operational and production requirements.
