General Motors in Toluca, Mexico, is seeking a temporary, full-time engineer for a one-year on-site position with rotating 5x2 shifts and 10-hour days. The role involves supporting tool and station projects, defining manufacturing processes, and ensuring efficient material flow.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and working knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, and GMS. English at an intermediate level is required.

Job Description

Temporary position with a duration of one year. This is a 100% on-site position requiring availability to work rotating shifts under a 5x2 schedule with 10-hour shifts, according to operational needs.

Responsible for supporting activities that may include:

• SORs and project management for tools, stations or specific technologies. Typically part of a larger effort or project
• Manufacturing process definition
• Sequence of operations
• Human factors consideration
• Efficient material flow
• Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts
• Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources
• Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any Engineering field or related experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
• English proficiency: Intermediate conversational level, with the ability to clearly express complete technical ideas.
• Knowledge of PFMEA and Control Plan.
• Basic knowledge of GMS.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Work Schedule:

100% on-site position. Candidates must be available to work rotating shifts under a 5x2 schedule with 10-hour shifts based on operational and production requirements.
