North American Production Sharing de México, S.A. de C.V. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to analyze, design, and implement improvements across assembly lines to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • 3–5 years of Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or process improvement experience.
  • Experience in sewing, apparel, garment, textile, or sewn products manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience implementing, launching, and optimizing new production lines.

Responsabilidades

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Lead the implementation, startup, and optimization of new production lines, ensuring targets for capacity, quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Develop plant layouts, define material flow, workstation configurations, and equipment requirements for new processes.
  • Conduct time and motion studies, capacity analysis, and production line balancing.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools to reduce waste and improve performance.
  • Coordinate process improvement projects, product transfers, and new production line launches.
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Monitor KPIs related to productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost.
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Participate in pilot runs, process validation, and production release activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel on processes and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to achieve goals.

Descripción del empleo

Responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing improvements to manufacturing processes to optimize productivity, quality, cost, and operational efficiency. Leads continuous improvement initiatives and new production line implementation projects, applying Lean Manufacturing methodologies and industrial engineering principles to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Lead the implementation, startup, and optimization of new production lines, ensuring achievement of capacity, quality, safety, and efficiency targets.
  • Develop plant layouts, define material flow, workstation configurations, and equipment requirements for new manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct time and motion studies, capacity analysis, and production line balancing.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools to reduce waste and increase operational performance.
  • Coordinate process improvement projects, product transfers, and new production line launches.
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues through root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost.
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in pilot runs, process validation, and production release activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel on manufacturing processes, work methods, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to ensure operational goals are achieved.
Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or process improvement.
  • Required experience in the sewing, apparel, garment, textile, or sewn products manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience implementing, launching, and optimizing new production lines.
  • Experience in line balancing, time and motion studies, capacity analysis, and process optimization.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
Technical Knowledge
  • Lean Manufacturing.
  • Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Production line balancing.
  • Time and motion studies.
  • Productivity and efficiency metrics.
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Process standardization and documentation.

Language: Intermediate to advanced English, including reading, writing, and professional communication skills.

Software & Tools
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Preferred experience with MS Project, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Visio, or similar software.
