GKN Aerospace in Chihuahua, Mexico seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support product and planning activities. You will perform planning, design and modification of fixtures, tools and processes, and document resolution of production problems.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Aeronautical or similar, at least 3 years of experience, and willingness to travel. CATIA or similar design software and MS Office are preferred.

Formación

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Mechatronic or similar.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing engineering role.
  • Willingness to travel frequently as required.
  • Experience with analysis and investigation of problems.
  • Familiarity with assembly processes, sheet metal and composites.
  • FAI requirements (AS9102) preferred and experience in transfer projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Responsabilidades

  • Develops, evaluates, improves and documents manufacturing processes.
  • Develops and implements process control techniques including work instructions using tools such as SPC, PFMEA.
  • Analyses manufacturing process flows continually for improvements in quality, cost reduction, and lead-time reduction for new work.
  • Collaborates with other functions to ensure effective production methods.
  • Coordinates part inspection procedures with Quality Engineers.
  • Addresses and documents root cause and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Determines required material and tools for production.
  • Creates and registers changes to work instructions.

Job Summary

Performs a variety of engineering work in planning, design and modification of fixtures, tools, and manufacturing processes. Resolves production problems and completes documentation on assigned parts


Job Responsibilities


  • Develops, evaluates, improves and documents manufacturing processes

  • Develops and implements process control techniques including work instructions using tools such as SPC, PFMEA

  • Analyses manufacturing process flows continually for the improvements of quality, cost reduction, lead-time reduction for new work

  • Collarborates with other functions to ensure effective production methods

  • Coordinates part inspection procedures with Quality Engineers.

  • Addresses and documents cause and corrective action issues to prevent future problem occurrences.

  • Determines required material and tools for production

  • Creates and registers changes to work instructions


Job Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor degree (Industrial, Mechanic, Aeronautical, Mechatronic or similar).

  • Experience:

    • Valid visa and passport.

    • Availability to travel frequently.

    • Experience at least 3 years in similar position.

    • Knowledge of methods of analysis and investigation of problems.

    • Knowledge of the assembly processes, sheet metal and composite.

    • FAI's requirements (AS9102). Desirable experience in transference projects.

    • Experience in design software (CATIA or similar) and Microsoft Office.

    • Proficiency in reading and interpretation of engineering drawings and their specifications.
