About the role

A Manufacturing Engineer efficiently plans, organizes and coordinates the manufacturing of products manufactured at Carrier. Supervises the correct and efficient use of the operation's resources such as equipment, personnel and materials. Supervises the preparation and correct execution of the budget. Develops the manufacturing staff and ensures compliance with the objectives in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Production and Cost.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Manage the Press Shop Manufacturing team.
  • Monitor the performance of production lines, seek improvement in Safety, Quality and Productivity.
  • Be part of the team for solving production problems, is close to direct staff and the process.
  • Work as a team with departments such as Maintenance, Materials, Quality, Safety and Training to meet Production objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Carrier Excellence, Quality Management Systems (ISO) and Safety.
  • Promote continuous improvement and Kaizen projects through Carrier Excellence (CI) tools.
  • Follows up and complies with the department's KPI metrics.
  • Offers new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identifies and implements new practices and processes that are best practices in the industry

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree required: Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Press Shop areas.
  • Interpretation and generation of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams (using Autocad, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Press Control systems (Wintriss, Omilink, Amada, PLC, etc.)
  • Lean Manufacturing.
  • PLC.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge in Tooling.
  • Conversational English.
