Regal Rexnord is seeking a leadership-focused engineer to drive large-scale automation and manufacturing improvement projects. You will plan, execute and control initiatives to deliver on-time, on-budget results with clear documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires deep control systems knowledge, PLC/robot/HMI programming, and the ability to mentor others while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to optimize line layouts, throughput and efficiency.

Formación

  • Bachelor in electrical engineering or automation or related field. Master preferred.
  • +5 years of experience in industrial automation and machinery integration.
  • Proficient in PLC, Robots, and HMI programming; microcontrollers experience.

Responsabilidades

  • Implement automation projects for manufacturing machines and assembly lines.
  • Support programming, debugging and troubleshooting of PLC, Robots, and HMI hardware and software.
  • Lead new equipment design and installation as well as upgrades to existing lines.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to implement reliable automation solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and training to team members.

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Scope of leadership role Position Summary:

Leads all phases of large-scale assigned process or manufacturing improvement projects. Ensures the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost. Implements process improvements to meet quality standards including automation concepts Designs and conducts feasibility studies and solves problems. Ensures documentation is complete and accurate and aides in communication to personnel. Serves as an expert resource to other engineers and coordinates all work within the scope of assigned projects

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing automation projects for manufacturing machines and assembly lines
  • Support programming, debugging and troubleshooting of PLC, Robots, and HMI hardware and software.
  • Focus project management, new equipment design and installation as well as existing equipment, enhancement and modification.
  • Leverage automation technology and work with automation suppliers to implement reliable automation solutions.
  • Ensures that the team troubleshoots and resolves all issues.
  • Develops the sequence of operations, estimates time requirements for each, and prepares operation sheets.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters in order to increase efficiency and cost savings.
  • May design and program CNC equipment to utilize to full capacity.
  • Manages and performs upgrades to site machinery.
  • Provides technical support to other service departments.
  • Designs and implements new line layouts or re-designs plant layout.
  • Provides technical leadership/training and/or coaching to other team members.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Technical Knowledge in Control’s Engineering and/or Automated Systems.
  • Results and Performance Oriented Communication and change management
  • Teamwork and people management
  • Ability to do tactical reporting, data mining, and critical analysis.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and good project management skills.
  • Critical thinking with good analytic and problem-solving Digital media management.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
  • Bachelor in electrical engineering, automation, controls engineering, maintenance or a related field required.
  • Master Degree will be a plus.
  • +5 years of experience in industrial automation and machinery integration.
  • Be extremely proficient in programming PLC, Robots, and HMI.
  • Must know how to program microcontrollers (PIC, Arduino, Raspberry PI)
  • Knows how to handle Ether(CAD/NET), IO Link, Profi(NET/BUS), RS-232/485& Device Net communication protocols.
  • Must have knowledge of high level programming (C++, Python, Assembly, Java & Shell Script)
  • Good project management and project financial justification skills.
  • Knowledge of electric motor manufacturing and Lean Manufacturing will be a plus.
