Asan Machine Guarding Engineer II at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing machine guarding solutions to improve machine safety in our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify machine guarding opportunities, develop control strategies, and integrate machine guard systems. Your expertise in machine guarding technologies will contribute to the success and growth of our organization. You will report directly to the Machine Guarding Engineering Manager. In this role, you will impact manufacturing operations by implementing solutions that optimize production processes and enhance safety, directly affecting our bottom line and supporting our position as a global technology leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform risk assessments at global sites, develop solutions, create detailed designs, fabricate, and implement machine guarding solutions to improve safety.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify guarding opportunities and develop control strategies.
3. Integrate machine guarding systems with existing manufacturing processes.
4. Conduct testing and troubleshooting of guarding systems.
5. Provide technical support and training to manufacturing teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of experience in machine guarding engineering or related area.
• Strong knowledge of machine guarding technologies, control systems, and PLCs; field experience and TUV certification are a plus.
• Availability to travel.
• Proficiency in English; interviews will be conducted in English.

VALUED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI design.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
