Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, in Mexicali, Mexico, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to enhance and scale manufacturing processes. You will work with design, production, and cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, quality, and safety while meeting regulatory requirements.

You will develop, evaluate, and document processes, troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support new products and transfers with a focus on cost-effective, compliant manufacturing.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/processing engineering or related technical roles.
  • 2+ years of experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, or soldering and with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Experience in product transfers and work transfers; NPI experience is a plus.
  • Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

  • Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and flow diagrams.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety.
  • Support the introduction of new products and processes, including equipment selection, installation, and validation.
  • Monitor production data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and technical support to production personnel.

The Manufacturing Engineer II supports the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. This role works with design, production, and other cross-functional teams to support manufacturability, resolve manufacturing issues, and introduce new products and processes while meeting company, industry, and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do:
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to support the manufacturability of new and existing products.
  • Create andmaintainprocess documentation, including work instructions and manufacturing flow diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime andmaintainquality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues.
  • Identifyand implement cost-saving opportunities whilemaintainingquality and safety requirements.
  • Support the introduction of new products and processes, including equipment selection, installation, and validation.
  • Monitor and analyze production data toidentifytrends, improvement opportunities, and areas for process optimization.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply withcompany policies, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and technical support to production personnel
  • Position may include occasional travel to the United States, as required by business needs, and might require obtaining a visa.
  • Maintain proficient communication in English to ensure effective and constant interaction with counterparts in the United States.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, a related engineering field, or technical roles in production or manufacturing will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, or soldering, including performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to address process issues effectively.
  • Experience in product transfers and work transfers isrequired. Candidates with experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) will also be considered as part of the evaluation.
  • AdvancedEnglishproficiency.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience in aerospace or a related industry.
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent quality standards.
  • Experience supporting equipmentselection, installation, and validation.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems or data analysis tools.
  • Six Sigma certification or formal Lean Manufacturing training.
