Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a manufacturing professional to drive daily assembly operations in the Nuevo Leon facility. You will support production lines to hit PQVC targets, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and help implement process improvements across equipment and workflows.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and English proficiency, with hands-on experience in APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and tool usage for quality and productivity gains.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial/mechanical/materials/mechatronics or related field.
  • Intermediate English required.
  • Experience with APQP concepts and related quality tools is preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Execute day-to-day on manufacturing assembly processes.
  • Support production lines to meet PQVC metrics.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
  • Provide coaching and development for operations staff.
  • Maintain APQP system documentation.

Job Summary

This position will be responsible of executing the day-to-day on manufacturing Assembly process, support tasks for the production lines in the facility, accountability to meet goals on PQVC metrics. Compliance to safety guidelines and environmental requirements for manufacturing. Manage NPI and EC aligned with APQP/PPAP.

What You Will Do
  • Ensure robust production process
  • Creating/updating value stream documentation
  • Defect analysis
  • Create safe standard work procedures
  • Update assembly and testing machines to prevent/detect defects
  • Analyzing updating process workflow to optimize delivering velocity
  • Establishing measurements and metrics on consumables to lower production cost
  • Team work to implement new products
  • Participating in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.
  • Maintaining APQP system documentation.
  • Ensure CQMS is aligned and properly executed in the value stream.
  • Monitoring equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.
  • Providing coaching and development for operations technical staff and support areas.
  • Providing engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.
Education requirement

Requires a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.

Intermediate English required

What skills you will have
  • Lean Manufacturing: Functional knowledge six sigma.
  • VSM - lay out (AutoCAD) installed capacity bottle neck.
  • Knowledge of the management of basic tools for observing existing processes and identifying waste.
  • Tack time/cycle time.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Advanced knowledge of APQP concepts; PFMEA, Control Plan, SWES, and MSA.
  • Knowledge of the use of torque tools.
  • Understanding and use of Pinpoint software to collect torque data by part number and series.
  • Advanced knowledge of measurement equipment and able to perform CMM report interpretation.
  • Knowledge of software systems: ETQ, SAP, Infinity, AQE.
  • Functional knowledge to develop tooling/fixturing/templates (essential).
  • Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Functional knowledge engineering drawing reading and 1E spec interpretation.
  • Functional knowledge in assembly processes (essential).
  • Advanced understanding of Standard work instructions for operations.
Additional Information

This position will be in Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, MX.

Availability is required depending on the support needs for the production line.

Your work schedule is Monday to Saturday, rotating between 3 shifts.

International travel may be required up to 20% of the time (during production line implementation only).
