A leading aerospace manufacturer in Mexicali is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the 2nd shift to enhance manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, specialized skills in electrical manufacturing, and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include creating work plans, managing projects, and increasing productivity standards. Manufacturing Engineer - 2nd shift in GAC Mexicali

Unique Skills:

Requirements for the position include at least 1-2 years of experience and a related professional degree. The ideal candidate should have specialized technical skills and experience in manufacturing processes in electrical areas (preferably Cabinets), as well as the ability to work in a team and handle project tasks to improve manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate DMTs/DI/DR through RCCA and prompt action.
  • Obtain TMO’s.
  • Create work plans/BOMs for new programs.
  • Manage WOA's and work routines.
  • Prepare work routines for MRR's.
  • Manage projects.

Good understanding of GD&T concepts and proficiency in creating visual aids (IWI's).

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience in manufacturing processes.

Position Purpose:

Provide support to ensure manufacturing process flow in compliance with engineering and quality standards, with a focus on continuous improvement aligned with the goals of the SBU. Collaborate with other groups to update and improve manufacturing standards.

Job Description:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate and supervise actions to increase productivity, improve processes, and manage projects across groups.
  • Responsible for RCCA to solve problems.
  • Create work plans/BOMs, manage red lines, WOA's, and work routines.
  • Provide feedback to the "First Article System".
  • Understand manufacturing concepts and create electrical visual aids (SOPs).
  • Create STR investigations to validate design issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Catia V4 & V5, Smarteam, CAS/Solumina, AutoCAD, MS Project, Power BI, Additive Manufacturing, AIR system, MS Excel, Project Management, Six Sigma (green belt preferred), Lean Manufacturing, ERP, RCA, CARs.
  • Strong people skills, teamwork, communication skills, and external negotiation experience.
  • Proven experience in creating work routines and continuous improvement methods.
  • English proficiency (85% advanced).
  • Ability to train and develop other engineers and team members.
