Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description Summary

Implements manufacturing techniques, processes, tooling, and machinery to maximize throughput. Establishes control charting of critical features and processes; monitors results and determines machine and process capabilities and performance reliability. Manages the implementation of new processes, selection of equipment to be purchased, and time estimates. Identifies optimal tooling for machining. Resolves issues with design, manufacturability, or build sequences. Ensures production-part acceptance and manufacturing readiness. Participates in adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater efficiency. Consults on and oversees selection and implementation of automation and robotics on the assembly line.

Job Responsibilities

1. Develops manufacturing equipment purchase proposals by studying manufacturing plans and commitments; evaluating manufacturing processes and requirements.
2. Recommends new manufacturing equipment by identifying vendors and operating equipment, evaluating equipment capabilities and service history; evaluating vendor support.
3. Completes equipment cost projections by analyzing investment, return, and savings.
4. Monitors equipment installations by advising crews.
5. Designs equipment modifications to meet production requirements.
6. Prepares equipment operators by conducting training and providing reference and support resources.
7. Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
8. Maintains equipment records by updating documentation and database.
9. Protects organizational value by maintaining confidentiality and cautioning others about potential breaches.
10. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

Ingeniero Electrónico, Mecánico o Mecatrónica con Inglés conversacional.

• Experiencia de 2 a 5 años en industria metalmecánica.
• Experiencia en el proceso de Ensamble.
• Conocimientos técnicos: análisis de problemas, manejo de AutoCAD 2D, GD&T, herramientas Core Tools, Diseño 3D.
• Conocimiento técnico deseado: Programación de PLC, proceso de soldadura, Programación de Robots Fanuc.
• Competencias: capacidad analítica, trabajo en equipo, administración del tiempo, toma de decisiones, solución de problemas, iniciativa y liderazgo.
