An established industry player is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to enhance aerospace manufacturing processes. In this role, you will develop and optimize manufacturing processes, support new product introductions, and implement Lean manufacturing principles. The Manufacturing Engineer will support the transfer of manufacturing lines, new product introductions, and the overall management of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, problem-solving skills, and experience in an aerospaceenvironment.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies.
Support new product introductions (NPI) by coordinating with design and production teams.
Implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct root cause analysis and apply corrective actions to resolve production issues.
Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other digital tools to design and improve manufacturing layouts.
Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, FAA).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Provide technical support and training to production staff.
Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Participate in supplier development and qualification processes.
Ensure safety practices are followed and promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, aerospace, industrial) or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or a similar industry.
Bilingual skills (Spanish and English).
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.
Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, FAA).
Knowledge of Oracle is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
