A global technology leader is seeking an engineer based in Monterrey to support manufacturing operations and lead continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have an industrial engineering degree and at least 3 years of experience in solder processes. Proficiency in English, CAD software, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma is required. The role involves standardizing processes across factories and participating in various shifts as needed.

Formación

  • At least 3 years of experience with Wave/Selective Solder processes.
  • Capable of leading technical committees.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM).

Job Description
Your responsibilities
  • Engineer with deep interaction with plant operations but also supports business unit's needs.
  • Participates in the assessment, evaluation, planning, and execution of projects where safety, quality, and productivity are essential.
  • Standardize processes and production methods between multiple factories to identify the best practices. Interfaces with strategic organizations for the execution of time-sensitive projects to maximize manufacturing capabilities and create resiliency within the company.
  • Support advanced manufacturing and operational excellence teams abroad to successfully install new tools, machines, and equipment in local facilities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and be accountable for KPIs of the area.
  • Improve safety conditions and take immediate action if risks or concerns are identified.
  • Assist production lines (Manual Wave/Selective), facilitate communication, and provide training in a 24/5 + OT operation model.
  • Participate in shift swaps, including second and third shifts and weekends, as needed.
You will have:
  • Industrial, electromechanical, or related engineering degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Wave/Selective Solder processes, expert in thru-hole soldering (ERSA, Electrovert, Vitronics machines).
  • Fluent in English, capable of leading technical committees.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
  • Proficiency with software such as CAM350, AutoCAD, and Gerber files; CAD skills.
  • Understanding of ERP systems, preferably SAP, and MES.
  • Knowledge of cost management, finance concepts, CAPEX management, and execution.
