Johnson Controls is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to improve production processes, equipment, and tooling. You will apply Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methods to reduce waste, meet quality targets, and ensure on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include leading Kaizen events, 5S, value stream mapping, and standard work, while collaborating with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive sustainable improvements.
Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, helps customers use energy more productively, reduce carbon emissions, and operate with the precision and resilience required in rapidly expanding industries such as data centers, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, and higher education. For more than 140 years, Johnson Controls has delivered performance where it really matters. Backed by advanced technology, lifecycle services and an industry-leading field organization, we elevate customer performance, turn goals into real-world results and help move society forward.
This role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to support consistent production results. You will use Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methods to reduce waste, solve problems, and help build stable, efficient processes that meet quality and delivery expectations.
You will stay close to the work, observe production conditions directly, and remove barriers that prevent teams from achieving safe and effective output. You will own your assignments with accountability, act with integrity, and keep safety and quality at the center of every improvement. You will use facts, data, and root cause analysis to make practical decisions and improve processes every day. You will work as one team with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering by sharing information openly and respecting different perspectives. You will use Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to drive measurable improvements, not just temporary fixes. You will document changes clearly so process updates, work instructions, and standards are easy to follow and sustain.
