Michael Page International México Reclutamiento Especializado S.A. de C.V is seeking a Cost Accountant for our manufacturing client in Tijuana.

The role focuses on local cost accounting, standard costs, BOMs, inventory reconciliations, and cost structures to improve financial performance at the site. The candidate will partner with Manufacturing, Operations, and Finance teams, contribute to budgeting and month-end close, and drive cost visibility with SAP, Excel, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Proven Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing or maquila environments.
• Hands-on SAP experience.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage local Cost Accounting activities for the manufacturing site.
• Maintain and review standard costs, BOMs, inventory reconciliations, and manufacturing cost structures.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cost reports, and month-end close activities.
• Review manufacturing variances, overhead absorption, scrap, and other key plant cost drivers.
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Accounting teams to improve cost accuracy and operational performance.
• Maintain inventory controls, cycle count programs, and SOX compliance processes.
• Prepare reports that inform operational and financial planning.
• Serve as a liaison between the plant and corporate finance stakeholders.
• Participate in ERP enhancements, finance transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
