ABOUT THE ROLE
This position supports all company activities and implements the Corporate Security Policy in the Latin America region. It is responsible for proactively identifying security risks and working with local, country, and regional management to evaluate and address these risks. The role includes mentoring local managers with security responsibilities. The position reports to the Senior Director of Global Security, with a dotted line to regional management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage security goals, planning, and implementation strategies across countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela.
- Develop and enforce policies, procedures, standards, and training to protect employees, brands, facilities, information, and assets from various risks.
- Design and implement security protocols measuring effectiveness, cost, and alignment with global goals.
- Investigate incidents such as loss, theft, and fraud.
- Support regional crisis management teams and committees.
- Conduct security assessments at each site, aligning with local laws and corporate objectives.
- Audit security standards for suppliers, co-manufacturers, and logistics providers.
- Collect and analyze intelligence to anticipate risks impacting employees and operations.
- Assist local management in budgeting for security activities.
- Develop security plans for expatriates addressing housing, transportation, and emergency extraction.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management based on assessments.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory security requirements.
- Maintain relationships with government agencies, law enforcement, and international security entities.
- Work effectively in remote and physically demanding environments.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years’ experience in a major corporation, law enforcement, intelligence, or private security.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Experience conducting investigations across multiple countries.
- Knowledge of VIP travel support and journey management in high-threat environments.
- Basic First Aid/Trauma training.
- Understanding of supply chain security best practices.
- Project management skills.
- Knowledge of security systems design and installation.
- Experience investigating and preventing counterfeiting.
- Knowledge of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Residency in the region for over 15 years (preferred).
- Certifications such as CFE or CPP (preferred).
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Full-time role with approximately 30% travel.
- Ability to travel to regional operations and high-risk locations on short notice.
- This position is not eligible for relocation.
