Formación

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Aluminum Can Industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.

Primary Purpose of this Position:

Manages the sales function for Mexico, handling assigned accounts and serving as the primary contact for all regional customers at Ball in Mexico, including responsibilities for select global accounts operating within Mexico. Responsible for delivering regional AOP, negotiating, and executing customer contracts to foster mutual growth.

Identifies and partners to develop new business opportunities and sustainability actions in the region, working with relevant partners to execute these initiatives.

What will you be responsible for?
  1. Manage daily operations for Regional & Business Development accounts in Mexico.
  2. Follow sales metrics/objectives and ensure order fulfillment through our Ball Network.
  3. Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to strategically grow the business.
  4. Support implementation of new projects such as Customer portal, Tariffs, taxes, invoicing systems, etc.
  5. Ensure customer forecasts are accurate and reflect current market conditions, sharing responsibility for forecast accuracy.
  6. Anticipate challenges and opportunities, managing internal resources proactively.
  7. Address logistics issues that escalate to commercial disputes.
  8. Participate in setting account strategies and support the execution of initiatives led by functional experts.
  9. Negotiate settlement of large claims as needed.
  10. Monitor risks and key indicators such as obsolete inventory and disputes.
  11. Participate in run/production qualifications at Customer and Ball Plants.
  12. Support critical project implementation at Ball Plants and Customer locations.
  13. Coordinate new graphics processes within Ball and with customers.
  14. Work closely with customers on planning to ensure alignment and anticipate issues.
  15. Monitor account receivables and take corrective actions.
  16. Set short-term objectives (yearly) for managed accounts and execute accordingly.
  17. Serve as main contact between the company and the customer, and between the customer and the plants.
  18. Communicate customer needs and requirements internally to align planning and projects.
  19. Ensure customer adherence to Ball policies and align objectives.
  20. Manage customer contract negotiations, including bids and direct negotiations.
  21. Be accountable for volume, mix, revenue, and adherence to customer contracts for Regional Accounts & Business Development.
  22. Develop commercial strategies and gather competitive intelligence on the Mexican market.
What are we looking for?
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  2. Master’s Degree (MBA or similar) preferred.
  3. 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Aluminum Can Industry.
Analysis and Skills:
  • Multicultural awareness
  • Knowledge of international commerce and trade regulations
  • Engineering or manufacturing background (preferred)
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish
