Your New Role:

This position supports the delivery of Warner Bros. Discovery Original programming for worldwide studio licensing deals, involving external licensees and intercompany deals. It requires technical expertise in digital file production, content protection, and quality assurance. The role includes managing ongoing content delivery for new deals, global expansion, and parity backfill projects across platforms such as EST, SVOD, TVOD, AVOD, FAST, linear networks, airlines, and others. Fulfillment of digital media and ancillary assets in various languages and formats is required. The role also involves participating in technology improvement initiatives to streamline operational distribution.

Team Management

• Allocate time for technical skills development, subject matter expertise, and adherence to WBD guiding principles.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to P&C, VP, and Director.
• Serve as backup to the Director, representing WBD to external vendors and global clients.
• Instruct internal and external content teams on technical requirements, including sync and conform editors, mastering personnel, and software developers.

Global Content Strategy:

• Determine technical and operational requirements for expansion initiatives including MAX, Amazon, Netflix.
• Oversee high-profile, high-revenue license deal content supporting over $7B in studio license deals.
• Travel globally for MAX launches and training to ensure smooth territory expansions.
• Develop process improvement plans and implement strategies to meet organizational goals.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Make informed decisions to resolve technical issues impacting consumer experience.
• Evaluate and approve launch proposals and delivery strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.

Technology Collaboration:

• Ensure content is locally relevant with subtitles and dubs for specific markets.
• Oversee global content creation, governance, and operations.
• Monitor KPIs to assess content effectiveness and adjust as needed.
• Report on content performance and assess risks for high-profile titles.
• Coordinate with marketing, partners, and product teams to ensure content availability.
• Partner with technology, localization, digital media, and marketing teams to manage content lifecycle.
• Enforce content security, managing protection of pre-air titles worldwide.

Content Distribution

• Approve purchase orders up to $50K, requiring management approval.
• Act as the primary communication link between upper management and team members, conveying goals and updates.

Qualifications & Experiences:

• Minimum 7 years managing file-based workflows in a media organization or post-production facility.
• 3+ years of management experience in the media industry.
• High-level knowledge of technical workflows for media encoding, QC, metadata, and distribution.
• Proven expertise in broadcast material formats and media packages.
• Strong business English skills, with clear communication in writing and verbally.
• Experience working with third-party vendors for content production and distribution.
• Experience with global platforms like Amazon PV, Netflix, Apple, Google is ideal.
• Experience with globally dispersed teams and project-based launches is preferred.
