Formación

  • Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred but not mandatory.

Job Summary

This position serves as the first-line contact for supplier-related issues, providing proper resolutions to operational concerns and ensuring no quality restrictions affect production.

What You Will Do
  • Manage a team of 5-8 employees.
  • Improve PPM performance and implement proactive quality improvement actions.
  • Ensure supplier quality through process controls, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Follow up on quarantined materials.
  • Create COPQ charges and ensure recovery of costs.
  • Monitor Scrap and Return disposition of materials, ensuring shipping documents align with credit notes from receivers.
  • Coordinate material containment when issues are reported on parts and ensure corrective actions are implemented from the source.
  • Attend MRB meetings to ensure quick disposition and resolution of quality issues.
Education Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, IMA, or related field. Advanced English skills are required.

Desired Skills
  • Negotiation skills with suppliers, familiarity with supplier quality procedures.
  • Knowledge of APQP concepts.
  • Proficiency with measurement equipment.
  • Experience with quality metrics: PPM, FPY, Scrap, BIQ F/N/M.
  • Understanding of the Non-Conforming Product Management process.
  • Familiarity with software systems: ETQ, SAP, Infinity, AQE.
Additional Skills
  • Effective communication and team involvement in meetings.
  • Ability to report specific conditions clearly.
  • Multitasking capabilities.
  • Experience working with multiple suppliers.
  • Problem-solving skills using tools like 8D, A3, RCCA, Pareto, 5 Whys, Ishikawa.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (desirable).
Additional Information
  • Location: Cienega de Flores Facility, Nuevo Leon, MX.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage.
  • Travel: 20% domestic and international travel; active passport and USA visa required.
  • Relocation is not offered for this position.
