HP is seeking a Manager of Personal Systems Global Supply Planning in Mexico to lead a team translating demand signals, supply constraints, and lifecycle priorities into executable plans. You will coach planners, drive standard work, and partner across functions to improve planning quality and outcomes.

You will own performance metrics, oversee launches, manage risks, and enable rapid, data-driven decision making in a fast-paced global environment.

  • Process governance, standard work, continuous improvement, and operational rigor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supply planners by setting priorities and ownership.
  • Translate demand, supply, and inventory inputs into executable supply plans that meet service, customer commitments and financial targets.
  • Identify forecast bias and align demand with business priorities through team engagement.
  • Proactively manage shortages, allocations, backlog exposure, and recovery actions with clear escalation paths.
  • Coordinate cross-functional milestones for new product introductions and launches.
  • Facilitate alignment across Global Supply Management, Inventory, Data Analytics, Factory Operations, Planning Fulfillment, Demand Planning, Business Management, and Procurement.
  • Own team performance metrics such as service levels, supply commitment, and backlog recovery.
  • Standardize planning processes, drive continuous improvement, and reduce friction in execution.
  • Use data, dashboards, and scenario modeling to guide decisions and communicate implications to leaders.

Manager, Personal Systems Global Supply Planning Description - About this Job Join HP Personal Systems as a Manager within Supply Planning, where you will lead a team responsible for translating demand signals, supply constraints, and product lifecycle priorities into executable supply plans. This role provides people leadership, operational direction, and business ownership across planning processes that support service, inventory, cost, and launch readiness objectives. You will coach a team of planners, strengthen standard work, drive issue resolution, and cross-functionally partner to improve planning quality, accelerate decision making, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of supply planners by setting priorities, clarifying ownership, managing performance, and building capability across planning fundamentals, business acumen, analytics, and stakeholder communication.
  • Planning Execution Ownership: Ensure the team translates demand, supply, and inventory, inputs into executable supply plans that support service objectives, customer commitments, and financial targets.
  • Forecast and Demand Alignment: Lead team engagement with demand planning and business stakeholders to identify forecast bias, demand shifts, upside/downside risk, and actions needed to align supply with business priorities.
  • Supply Risk Management: Drive proactive visibility to shortages, allocation decisions, backlog exposure, and recovery actions while ensuring clear escalation paths and timely stakeholder communication.
  • Product Lifecycle and Launch Readiness: Lead planning readiness for new product introductions, transitions, end‑of‑life activity, and platform changes by coordinating cross‑functional milestones, supply commitments, and launch risk mitigation.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership: Facilitate alignment across Global Supply Management, Inventory, Data Analytics, Factory Operations, Planning Fulfillment, Demand Planning, Business Management, and Procurement to resolve issues and improve planning outcomes.
  • Metrics and Business Performance: Own team performance management across key indicators such as service levels, supply commitment, inventory health, cost, backlog recovery, forecast alignment, and root‑cause/corrective‑action effectiveness.
  • Process Governance and Continuous Improvement: Standardize planning processes, improve management systems, remove execution friction, and sponsor continuous improvement initiatives that increase planning discipline, decision quality, automation, and repeatability.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Use planning system, analytics, dashboards, and scenario modeling to guide decisions, identify trends, explain tradeoffs, and communicate the “so what” to stakeholders and leaders.
