Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing by executing a preventative maintenance program compliant with ISO 9001 QMS. This role collaborates with internal and external resources to minimize downtime and ensure equipment performs as intended.

The ideal candidate will perform preventative maintenance on machines, troubleshoot recurring issues, and support electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• HVAC systems experience.
• Ability to perform pipefitting work on water, gas and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to locate and install new plant equipment, including electrical, pipe fitting, rigging, and millwright work.
• Ability to use power tools and hand tools to perform mechanical installations.
• Ability to wear required safety equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment using diagrams and blueprints and repair electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance on all machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and find permanent solutions to recurring equipment issues.
• Maintains and performs lock out / tag out (LOTO).
• Conducts monthly inspection of eye wash center, fire extinguisher, and housekeeping audits.
• Place orders for machine parts and tools as needed.
• Maintain and repair facility infrastructure including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

What We’re Looking For:

The position is responsible for supporting manufacturing by executing on a preventative maintenance program that is compliant with our ISO 9001 QMS requirements. The Maintenance Technician works with both internal and external resources to resolve equipment failures to ensure that down time is limited and equipment is performing as intended. This role will also collaborate with various functional areas to identify and improve equipment and/or processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative maintenance on all machines and equipments.
• Troubleshoot and finds permanent solutions to reoccurring equipment issues.
• Maintains and performs lock out / tag out
• Conducts monthly inspection of eye wash center, fire extinguisher, and housekeeping audits.
• Will be required to place orders for machine parts and tools.
• Maintains and repairs the facility's structure, equipment, grounds, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Electrical systems, including lighting, circuits, and equipment
• Water supply, drains, pipes and appliances
• Pneumatic air supply, including air compressor
• Material handling equipment, such as lift trucks and racking
• Office furniture and office partition systems
• Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred & Desirable Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Flexographic Industry Experience: Previous experience working in a label, ribbon, or tag manufacturing plant (Flexographic conversion industry) .
• Mark Andy Machinery: Hands-on experience with the maintenance, timing, and mechanical calibration of Mark Andy flexographic printing presses (e.g., Performance Series, 2200, or Evolution).
• LOTO & OSHA Knowledge: Certified or highly experienced in Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and general OSHA safety regulations

Job Requirements

Preferred Education: High School or equivalent

Preferred Work Experience (years): 1-2 years
