ESAB is seeking an electro-mechanical technician to support the manufacturing floor. You will troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, and assemble complex equipment according to layouts, blueprints, and manuals, and perform checks with diagnostic tools. Rebuilds and modifications may be required as directed by manufacturing engineers.

Ideal candidates will have full knowledge of the role and 2–4 years of related experience, enabling them to handle moderately difficult tasks with general guidance.

Responsibilities

Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non‑functioning electro‑mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Must dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers.

Qualifications

Full knowledge of the job. Substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Assignments are moderately difficult, may require some judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations. Requires general instructions on newly introduced assignments. Typically requires a minimum of 2–4 years of related experience.
