WireCo WorldGroup seeks a Maintenance Technician for its Mexico operations. The role focuses on keeping plant machinery, auxiliary equipment, and facilities in proper operating condition within the machining area, performing preventive maintenance, and reporting equipment status.

Responsibilities include verifying equipment, managing work orders, preparing spare parts requisitions, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety guidelines.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or technical career in machines and tools or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of industrial networks and electrical systems is required.
• Experience with welding and mechanical maintenance is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Receive shift handover and manage pending work orders.
• Verify proper operation of lathes, milling machines, planers, and saws.
• Execute preventive maintenance and close work orders.
• Prepare spare parts requisitions and ensure safety compliance.
• Record daily activity and hand over to the next technician.
• Adhere to quality management system and safety policies.
• Maintain electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.

The maintenance technician is in charge to keep plant machinery, auxiliary equipment, and facilities in proper operating condition within the machining area by detecting and correcting failures, assessing and reporting the condition of machinery, auxiliary equipment, and facilities, as well as identifying maintenance and spare parts needs. To perform Preventive Maintenance on machinery and auxiliary equipment in the machining area, working autonomously and responsibly, and ensuring compliance with and adherence to the organization’s guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Receive shift handover and pending work from the previous shift.
• Verify proper operation of assigned equipment.
• Attend to pending and current work orders, performing the necessary corrections and properly closing work orders.
• Prepare spare parts requisitions for the spare parts warehouse.
• Verify proper operation of assigned equipment (lathes, milling machines, planers, mechanical saws).
• Execute Preventive Maintenance work orders.
• Prepare daily logbooks and hand over the shift to the next technician.
• Ensure compliance with quality management system policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of industrial communication networks, including Ethernet, Profibus, RS-485, and RS-232.
• Experience with electrical panel assembly and complete integration of PLCs, Drives, HMIs, and other control equipment.
• Ability to select and calculate appropriate materials for the structural fabrication of equipment.
• Ability to lay out, cut, and weld different materials using oxy-fuel and arc welding equipment.
• Installation and maintenance of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to calculate electrical loads and select appropriate electrical protections and cable sizes for specific systems.
• Knowledge of different control methods, including tension, torque, speed, temperature, and pressure control, in both open-loop and closed-loop systems.

• Bachelor's degree or technical career in machines and tools.
• Safety in work at heights

• Safety in welding and cutting work
• Knowledge in pneumatics and electromechanics

Materials and equipment used directly

• Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes
