John Deere in Monterrey seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams and ensure equipment availability across manufacturing areas. You will develop and execute preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance plans aligned with production priorities, safety requirements and TPM goals.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, plus hands-on experience with SAP PM and CMMS.

Formación

  • Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Experience using SAP PM, CMMS or equivalent systems.
  • Knowledge of TPM, reliability, equipment availability and maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR).
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsabilidades

  • Leads, coordinates and supervises maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability and operational continuity across manufacturing areas.
  • Develops and executes preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance plans aligned with production priorities and safety requirements.
  • Provides technical direction to maintenance technicians and support personnel; ensures proper troubleshooting and escalation of issues.
  • Drives root cause analysis and structured problem-solving to reduce recurring failures and improve MTBF/MTTR.
  • Supports TPM and reliability initiatives to improve equipment performance, cost efficiency and safety.
  • Manages maintenance work orders, backlog and spare parts through SAP PM/CMMS or equivalent systems.
  • Ensures compliance with safety standards, LOTO and environmental requirements; collaborates with other functions to minimize downtime.
  • Assists budget execution, contractor coordination and cost-improvement opportunities within maintenance.

Main Responsibilites:
  • Leads, coordinates and supervises maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability, reliability and operational continuity across manufacturing areas.
  • Develops and executes preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance plans aligned with production priorities, safety requirements and business objectives.
  • Provides technical direction to maintenance technicians and support personnel, ensuring proper troubleshooting, escalation and resolution of equipment issues.
  • Drives root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities to reduce recurring failures, improve MTBF, reduce MTTR and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supports TPM, reliability and maintenance excellence practices to improve equipment performance, cost efficiency, quality and safety.
  • Manages maintenance work orders, priorities, backlog, spare parts needs and documentation through SAP PM / CMMS or equivalent systems.
  • Ensures compliance with safety standards, LOTO procedures, environmental requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborates with production, quality, engineering, supply management and other support areas to minimize downtime and improve overall operational performance.
  • Supports budget execution, cost control, contractor coordination and identification of cost reduction opportunities within the maintenance function.
What Skills You Need:
  • Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Experience using SAP PM, CMMS or equivalent maintenance management systems.
  • Knowledge of TPM, reliability, equipment availability and maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, downtime and backlog.
  • Strong technical understanding of industrial electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience applying RCA, FMEA/AMEF or structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve complex equipment failures.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate maintenance work according to production needs and business impact.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices, including LOTO, risk assessment and safe work execution.
  • Ability to manage maintenance budgets, spare parts consumption, contractor services and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation in English, desirable for manuals, diagrams, procedures and equipment specifications.
What Makes You Stand Out:
  • Experience implementing TPM, reliability-centered maintenance or condition-based maintenance initiatives.
  • Experience improving equipment uptime, reducing recurring failures and driving measurable maintenance performance improvements.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, variable frequency drives, automation systems or industrial controls.
  • Experience developing technicians through coaching, technical training and performance follow-up.
  • Ability to use data, dashboards or Power BI to analyze maintenance trends, downtime, costs and improvement opportunities.
  • Experience managing critical spare parts strategies, MRO inventory and supplier/contractor performance.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with production, manufacturing engineering, quality, safety and supply management teams.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen or continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead under pressure, manage priorities and sustain results in a fast-paced operation.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Engineering or related technical field.
  • Equivalent maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment may be considered depending on the candidate profile.
  • Technical certifications in safety, reliability, maintenance management, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, electrical systems, automation or related areas are desirable.
