IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, and health & biosciences, is seeking a senior maintenance and reliability leader for its Tecomán site. You will drive the maintenance strategy, lead multidisciplinary teams, and manage budgets to maximize asset performance and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role emphasizes preventive and predictive maintenance, continuous improvement, and collaboration across functions to deliver reliable production and safe processes.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related engineering field.
  • 8+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, and asset management in manufacturing or process industries.
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary maintenance and technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and RCM maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, and work management processes.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and execute the site maintenance and reliability strategy to maximize asset performance and operational continuity.
  • Lead the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Utilities, and Maintenance Planning teams.
  • Drive preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
  • Reduce unplanned downtime through asset management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS, PSM, Mechanical Integrity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance activities to support production objectives.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, capital expenditures, and asset lifecycle projects.
  • Partner with Operations, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, and Engineering to improve plant productivity and efficiency.

For your awareness, IFF has announced its intention to sell its Food Ingredients Business to CVC Capital Partners. The sale is presently expected to close in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.

The Food Ingredients business unit will remain a part of IFF until close and, at such time, it will transition to CVC Capital Partners.

Where You'll Make a Difference
  • Develop and execute the site maintenance and reliability strategy to maximize asset performance and operational continuity.
  • Lead the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Utilities, and Maintenance Planning teams.
  • Drive preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
  • Reduce unplanned downtime through effective asset management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS), Process Safety Management (PSM), and Mechanical Integrity requirements.
  • Lead plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance activities to support production objectives.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, capital expenditures, and asset lifecycle optimization projects.
  • Partner with Operations, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve plant productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop technical capabilities, succession planning, and a high-performance maintenance culture focused on safety and operational excellence.
What Makes You The Right Fit
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in maintenance, reliability, and asset management within a manufacturing or process industry environment.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary maintenance and technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, and work management processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCA), asset performance improvement, and operational reliability.
  • Strong understanding of EHS, Process Safety Management (PSM), Mechanical Integrity, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, contractors, and capital projects.
  • Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
How Would You Stand Out?
  • Experience in food ingredients, chemical processing, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or similar continuous manufacturing environments.
  • Certification or specialized training in Reliability Engineering, Asset Management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM.
  • Experience supporting digital maintenance initiatives, predictive analytics, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
