A leading manufacturing company in Monterrey, Nuevo León, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee engineering and maintenance functions within their plant. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of relevant experience, strong leadership skills, and a solid background in maintenance processes. Responsibilities include developing maintenance strategies, leading a team, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. This role promises an opportunity to optimize plant efficiency and enhance equipment reliability.

Formación

  • Experience in maintenance management or engineering within a manufacturing environment (minimum 8 years).
  • Ability to manage teams effectively and provide training opportunities.
  • Experience with stamping, presses, and dies is a plus.

What will you do?

Oversee the manufacturing engineering and maintenance functions within a plant environment. Ensure that all engineering and maintenance activities align with operational goals and standards, particularly within medium/small-sized plants.

How will you do it?
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize plant efficiency and equipment reliability.

  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed safely and effectively.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering teams to integrate maintenance activities with production schedules.

  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment and systems to identify maintenance needs and improvements.

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring compliance with financial and operational objectives.

  • Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance skills and performance.

  • Implement best practices in maintenance management and engineering to improve overall plant operations.

  • Compliance with quality and EHS audits

  • Search and management of maintenance policies

  • Resource optimization

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance

  • Reduction of downtime

  • Fulfillment of KPIs: MTTR and MTBF

What are we looking for?
  • A university degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in maintenance management or engineering within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams effectively.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a solid understanding of maintenance processes and engineering principles.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and engineering tools relevant to plant operations.
